VideoGamer.com's Developer Blog

a blog by VideoGamer.com Developers

So, there hasn't been much activity on the dev blog for some time, for which I apologise. However, astonishingly the dev team has not just been asleep, far from it. We haven't released any big updates or features for a while, but that's because we've been crazy busy on what's coming next.

You won't be able to tell just yet, but we've recently switched to using a brand new workflow which is helping us stay focused on releasing features more frequently. Using this, our forthcoming release is a brand new platform that will sit behind this and every other site and feature we launch moving forward. This will launch alongside a fancy new registration system, login, and settings page - all due in the next few weeks. It will also means the re-introduction of our weekly newsletter and a new daily breaking news email.

Before that release, we do have couple of side-projects going on, such as a Gamercard generator - details coming in my next post!

Just watched 3 videos one after the other and I had to select SD each time.

Ah good old Agile methodologies :) care to share which particular flavour you guys went for? Trying to get management on board with Agile at my new place is proving difficult. They dont seem to get how useful and powerful visualising problems can be.

Sure dude, will look into this. We do store a cookie of your preference - so once you've switched to SD, you should always get SD on that device.

Is that working for you right now?

Any chance we can have a way to turn of HD videos in our profile? I watch a lot of videos at work in which my speed is *****, and on my phone (android) which can't run them properly and its hit or miss if I can hit HD to go to SD
