Will this year's best games be dominated by downloadable titles?

We've had good download-only games for years, but 2012 is shaping up to be the mediums's best year to date. In fact, we've been treated to and are yet to get our hands on so much good stuff that our Game of the Year list could well be dominated by them.
New releases vital for Vita as the handheld starts to gather dust

I played my Vita every day for around two months. It was my go-to games console all over January and February, to the extent that I even played the less than stellar releases, and dabbled with some old PSP classics. Now, less than two months after its February 22 release in the UK, I can't remember the last time I turned the handheld on.
Why I'm still sad that Bizarre and PGR are dead

I love video games. I love them so much that I chose to write about them for next to no money for most of my early adult life. But despite that, there are few game series I care passionately about. I've got a soft spot for Gears of War and God of War, but it's PGR that ranks as my favourite video game series of all time. Sadly for me and other PGR fans, it's a series that for all intents and purposes is dead.
It's amazing how far we've come

I subscribed to PlayStation Plus a few months ago, and it's an excellent service that offers users some great bonuses - such as free games and heavily discounted titles. Some of those free downloads are PSOne titles, and it's these that I've gravitated to.
Microsoft is becoming a more casual version of PS2-era Sony

My sister turned 12 years old yesterday. Her main gift was an Xbox 360 with Kinect (she's not spoilt by the way - she'd saved lots of the money towards it herself, but that's beside the point). While I'd love to say she wanted the console for the hundreds of quality gamer's games available, her decision was all down to Kinect and the various fun little games available on XBLA.
What's wrong with Leon's face in Resident Evil 6?

I'm one of the few people who actually enjoyed Resident Evil 5, and I absolutely love Resident Evil 4, so you could say I'm a little bit excited about what Capcom has in store for November 20 with Resi 6 - but what the hell have they done to Leon's face?
So many games, so little time

Boo hoo, poor little me, with my first world problems. Today I've been contemplating how I'm ever going to play all the games I want to get through before the end of the year.
The curse of free apps

I have a problem. I am addicted to browsing for Apps that are free. I spend more time doing this than actually playing games on my iPod touch, constantly forcing me to delete old apps to free up more space for new ones.
Is Dark Souls fun?

I didn't think I'd ever play it, but I was hit by a strange feeling on Saturday and felt an urge to give Dark Souls a try. Despite what I'd heard and read about the game I actually had a fair bit of confidence as I created by character. That was probably my first mistake.
