I've been a regular visitor onsite for quite a long time, kind of the silent lurker type. Given what I read in your closing remarks, I just had to sign up.

I don't want to come of as rude but Wesley Yin- P, I call in question your gaming knowledge, in regards to the inability to understand the concept on the entirety of this game. You gave a negative remark towards lack of club teams or manage mode. Quick question have you ever played any World Cup title, the EA published titles?

Sometimes, it seems reviewers HAVE TO at least list on a negative remark to try and balance their critque. If during play through a negative hinderance isnt found, why must one make one up? Its no different than falsifing digits on a report.

This just another case of a reviewer demanding things of other games that dont fit the profile eg. multiplayer in a single player adventure game. Its a shame, as this are the little things that give the perception Gaming Journalism is a HACK.

my two cents.

That’s a ridiculous thing to say though because obviously one of the weaknesses of this game is that it’s only the world cup therefore options regarding game modes are limited in comparison to FIFA 10. This game has an RRP exactly the same as every other FIFA game and this one has fewer modes so it is therefore a negative aspect of the whole package.

Also of course reviewers have to list negative points about a game as well as plus points, these are made to justify why the score is given otherwise if Wes didn’t list any negative points then a reader would wonder why it failed to get a perfect 10 score.

I agree with Quaddra's point but not how he put it across. Perhaps the negative point would have been better if less specific i.e. less modes than FIFA.

Does this include a GTA style mode in it?

No member of the month for Quaddra then.. Smile but I see his point, why would you have clubs in a game entirely dedicated to nations of the world? It would then become something it's not designed to be. A world cup game.

A manager mode, interesting thought, maybe if I put a Football Manager game and a Fifa game in my PS3 at the same time it will work. Just kidding!

Edit: it didnt work.

Wink much love

Seriously in depth review man, nice one.
I wish I could properly get into FIFA games but I'm simply no good at any sports game at all.
Much like fighting games and everything else Wes seems to be quite skilled at lol.

I agree with Dav. A game which is priced at £35-39.99 which they could of add DLC to FIFA 10 for £10 or 1200 MS Points. I somewhat will not buy the game whilst its at this price. I may get it, though saying that, I will borrow it from a friend who already is gunning for it.

Nice review though.

I dont think this will warrant a full price purchase for me, ill have to wait for it to come down in price, or i get bored of FIFA10 and trade it in....which will never happen!

During captain your country if you get sent off is there a mini-game involving nipping back to the hotel to shag your team-mates bird?

Probably won't be picking this up, though I would like to give it a going over at some point. Have the fixed the hideous flaws in Fifa10, such as the diamond in midfield being impossible to break down and playing 5 players upfront with one midfielder being impossible to beat because of stupid counter attacks?
