| I can't say I'm surprised. The whole genre was a flash in the pan, and was never going to last very long because it's an inherently inextensible experience. I've always enjoyed Guitar Hero - though to a lesser extent when they just wanted to imitate Rock Band -but until someone thinks of something new they can do with it, then it's just not worth making another one. Same with Rock Band, unless they want to turn it into a learning tool oh wait. |

| NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Gawd Dammit! The games are fun, and have always been a blast to play! There's plenty of damn fine music they haven't touched which would be a blast to play.
Oh, I'm pissed off now. I enjoyed unlocking new setlists, stages and finding hidden characters, those that seem to be glad of this move don't seem to appreciate that there are some people who would rate the music genre amongst their favourite and will miss the continuing of the franchise. Very selfish attitude, but expected from most gamers, sadly.
At least we got Money For Nothing before the end... |

| I always found GH a bit like Activisions CoD franchise , lacking in new ideas to keep you interested & very lacking in decent tunes . The guitars were sturdier than RB's but having short stubbys found the thick fret boards a finger killer after 6 songs . Rband has been innovative with its style of play & its equipment , even if Rb3 is so GH a-like in nature its barely recognisable as Rband at all with only pro mode & its new peripherals to make the difference apparent . GH's last 3 outings were poor track wise . like CoD the lack of changes left most not interested or just dissatisfied with the franchise . Shame True Crime cancelled too , it was never GTA but looks ok nonetheless. |
