I have really hated Bioware since they destroyed the mass effect series in my opinion through story and gameplay, and dragon age 2 was a complete disaster in my opinion too.
Like Simon Miller Dragon Age Origins is one of my favourite games of last gen, its story was completely amazing, and in my opinion the combat was much better than the way over the top cartoony dragon age 2. Also I never played CRPG's before so I am not an old fan of these types of games moaning about how they changed the original format, to me Everything about dragon age origins was better than dragon age 2.
However after hating Bioware for quite a while, I do admit this game looks very promising and I am excited for it. I just hope it is ALOT more like Origins than dragon age 2, the voiced character is cool, but from what I have seen the combat unfortunately looks cartoony still.
But I am glad to be excited for a new dragon age game, after the second one was an abomination to the RPG genre.
However CDProjektRed have seemed to have taken Biowares crown completely, the witcher 3 looks much more impressive.

Have to agree I loved rolling my own character in DA:O (a female human noble mage) and the idea that that was all chucked in the bin for DA2 was borderline offensive to me. When I then heard about the sucky combat, repetive encounters, reused locations and mind-numbingly stupid plot I just gave up on the idea of playing DA2 altogether. Bioware are making the right noises this time I just hope they follow through
