FIFA's been doing this for about 20 years, but the first time people notice it in a different franchise they go nuts? I don't get it...

The first thing I was taught as a programmer was never write something from scratch when you can swipe it from somewhere else.

This does seem like a rather insignificant 18 seconds. Ok, it is the same but does it really matter?

I guess this is going to cause a stir but surely a developer reusing assets is a smart idea?

I just thought of Michael Bay reusing footage in his films. If it's what you want to achieve I have no problems with re-skinning a scene for another use.

I get reusing, but when you have two years to develop the same games over and over, how long till it's really just a re skinned game almost asset for asset?
I expect more for my money, consumers are either so misinformed or don't care, because these things are still popular.
