I had to look up what accoutrements meant : (

I like the sound of torches and properly dark dungeons, with the improvements in lighting. And people can relax now.

Yes, people can relax. The gameplay demo was very good, especially because there was so much detail and little stuff in it that it felt like a great successor to Dark Souls.

For example that you can move while shooting a bow. Or the turtle-like enemy you obviously can't backstab. The latter also shows that From Software listens to what goes on in the DS community. And the list goes on :-) .

I need to rent dark souls, I played a small stint of demon souls on a friend's PS3 and found it quite enjoyable. But I've just never been in a position to obtain dark souls yet.

If you enjoyed Demon Souls, I think you should, Dark Souls is a very rewarding experience.
