Games that make you cry, a(nother) brief MMO rant and a 1986 Ghostbusters board game that scared Dave as a child.

Enjoyed this episode guys, good stuff. The Ghostbusters board game needs to be an integral part of podcasts in the future.

I agree - and there soooo needs to be a livestream of it! Although best movie board games were the first two Jurassic Park ones...they were epic!

I missed an MMO episode? I shall make a point of back-tracking. I rarely have time to listen to the podcast unfortunately but I can make an exception for a topic I am into at the moment Smile

Ahhh MMOs.

Age of Conan had decent mechanics and the world wasn't too bad, but the maps were wayyy too unbalanced. It was annoying as hell when you find yourself fighting through red mobs to try and get to a spot to clear your grey quest... and when you get there you'd have to return to the quest giver, who'd end up giving you a follow up quest to the very same spot. Respawn rates were too fast in some areas too, especially in the areas where you are underpowered for (even though you've already out levelled the quests for the same area).

Having said that, when I retried this game a while back I did had more fun than I did the first time round - the fact that I re-rolled as a bare-breasted healer might help explain why.
