| I wasn't that interested whilst watching the E3 demo last year. Another 3rd person shooter to go straight into the depths of buggery. |

| I think the review was a little harsh. Sure it's a generic as hell action shooter/brawler, but the gameplay is actually very good. The shooting is incredibly good fun and headshots are among the most satisfying in recent games because time slows down a little when you land one, letting you know that you've got the kill and giving you some time to plan your next shot. I hate brawlers usually, and I still tried to avoid it, but its basic CQC is easy to make functional and has the depth of Tekken-like combos.
Yeh, the game design feels last-gen... but it did in Batman and God of War as well. I wouldn't give this an 8, but only because it plays its hand early and most of the game is incredibly repetitive. Worth a rent, though, if you're looking for stuff to play or liked the other one. |
