Also a brand-new scenario from the game's director, Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro.

It is absolutely ridiculous that 360-only owners will not be able to experience the extra content, both on-disc and downloadable.

Seems to be more a slap in the face, as you mention, than a 'love letter', as it was only the support and encouragement of the 360 Western audience that the expanded project could be worked on. Very disappointed in SWERY and Rising Star Games on this decision, and hope they come to their senses. Always said the original should have seen release on both consoles, such a marvelous experience, now made rather sour. To think I was going to revisit it soon (on Hard)... so ticked off I might just trade it in.

Damn straight - if XBox money is apparently no good for either dev or publisher anymore, why carry on showing them any level of support?

It sounds similar to what they did with Alone in the Dark - as I believe that ended up being a better game on the PS3 release due to tweaks and added content too.

Shame, as I do like supporting Rising Star Games - some very quirky titles we might not otherwise have had the opportunity to experience. But I, for one, will not put up with crap like this. An outfit or two exclusive to one platform - fair enough, entire chunks of content - is grossly intolerable.

Am I missing something here, have PS3 owners been able to play Deadly Premonition at all yet?

There is a Japanese version out on the PS3, under some other name though. Can't remember the name, Red Seeds Story or Red Mists Chronicles or something.

Anyways looking forward to this - this was the last 360 game I actually own, and was kinda bummed when I lost my gaming TV/monitor and did not get to finish this on there. Would love to this have on the Vita though.

[EDIT] Oh just looked it up - the PS3 game was called Red Seeds Profile, released in Japan but apparently the game was in English with Japanese subtitles.

I only played the 360 version which absolutely Sucked Donkey Balls, but I heard the PS3 version was massively improved - I just never got round to trying it out!
