| According to DICE, there's still a market for a Mirror's Edge sequel, and the developer now knows what to do to make it 'reach a broader audience'.

| I'll be interested to see how (if indeed at all) any ME2 developments might be influenced by the skylines we have seen thus far in Bioshock: Infinite media... |

| I was one of the people who really enjoyed Mirrors Edge. I liked the first person view, but I agree that making it 3rd person would probably be inviting to more players. But, wouldn't 3rd person make it really difficult to judge the distance between the player and obstacles? |

| Mirror's Edge could definitely have done with more visceral gameplay, so I'm glad they're targeting a broader audience... |

| I don't think that having it in third person would be in keeping with the game; people formed the cult around it because it was a 1st person free rung game, you can't just mess with the essence of it. It would be like sticking Mario Karts blue shells into Forza. People would go mad! It would be a completely different game.
If they are to work on anything, better graphics (using frostbite 2) and a less clunky system for combat. If they keep the old formula and maybe make the worlds a little more realistic (less White, it played havoc with my eyes) and maybe more subtle level hints (rather than being red), then they could make a huge amount. |

| If they need to fix anything, then its the level design. The indoor levels let the game down. It wasn't 'free' running. |

| To be completely honest, I think they'd be doing ME a great dis-service with 3rd person view. I wasn't an early adopter of Mirror's Edge, and at first release, I wasn't particularly interested after playing the demo. A recent $3.50 purchase on Steam however proved just how wrong I was about the game. I'm loving it. And I am a firm believer that it should remain a first person game.

I agree totally with this. The brightness is bearable with some altered screen settings. And played through a 48" Bravia with HDMI makes it all the more bearable. Still can't work out how to get the sound going through the HDMI input though... Still running audio through the laptop output.
Great game. Improvements are definitely necessary but there is no need to change the game's identity simply to cater for the masses... |

| You give the game a third person perspective, you take away the structure of the game what made what it is. At first, I wasn't impressed by Mirrors Edge, but playing the full game, my decision changed. I would easily welcome another Mirrors Edge 2 with open arms.
I agree with Woffls on the visceral gameplay, as it will appeal to more people, thus more sales, more Mirror Edge games in the future. Win, Win for everybody. |

| I remember making it through the game without killing anybody - an achievement unlocked - and it wasn't all that challenging. That, and the gunplay forced upon you at one point, with a sniper rifle, was annoying as hell. Those were my two biggest issues with the title, which could be fixed quite easily.
That said, it was a really fun title - tempted to install and play it again, if I have a couple of hours free during the upcoming week... |
