Tiny tower was an very shallow experience, devoid of much actual gameplay. What little that was there, were management sim style gameplay elements like choosing what you want to build next the right people for the right job, but then that was even undermined by the fact that the best way to build was to have equal amounts of each floor (except double the amount of residential), and if you couldn't find the right person for the right job at any given time, you could just evict the people you didn't like and get new better people easily with no penalty, except for waiting for them to turn up.

And you will do a LOT of waiting in that game, because the system is set so that RL money is exchanged for premium currency that does 2 types of things. Upgrading stuff, and skipping wait times. Upgrades are cheap at first which is fair enough because and you gain enough premium currency via in game play to cover upgrades for the most part. But the problem comes when it you use this currency to skip wait time, since you will generally be waiting for so many thing at any given time that skipping causes you to burn through this currency quickly. And in the end, it's not worth buying it because you'll end waiting the same amount of time later down the line again, or an even longer period of time for the next thing to happen, so if you spend money you're essentially speeding up the quicker wait times in order to get to the longer wait times faster...

But you know what. For the first few days (or couple weeks) I enjoyed it, before the wait times became insane. Sure it's devoid of the need for much skill or thinking to do well, but sometimes, definitely not most of the time, but sometimes, it's nice to get rewarded even though you've put in little effect. And it's art style, catchy music and in this case star wars fan service/humour, definitely adds to the enjoyment of the experience.

I've downloaded this and will probably play it for a couple weeks, before everything starts to take a ridiculous amount of time to do. Then I will delete it from my iPhone, never look back, and say it was a worthwhile waste of my free time.

So this is the future for Star Wars gaming. F2P hell. Lovely.
