EA working on Dead Space 3?
EA is yet to officially announce the next game in the Dead Space franchise, but work is definitely being done - why else would the publisher be hiring staff to work on the franchise?

Would be a no brainier that already work for the game is in process. Was it not reported that the game was in-development already since Dead Space 2 was launched? I cannot remember where I saw, but I will try and find it if I can.

I hope Dead Space 3 has more the '***** your pants' than the odd occasional jump, and be overwhelmed by enemies.

Not for me, they shouldn't have bothered with Dead Space 2, it added nothing to the original, which I enjoyed very much, and suffered from familiarity.

Same as Chaza DS1 is also on my wish list. I try to always play the originals before sequels if I can help it. Plus it works for my wallet too.
So many games so little time and money!
An article was posted here mentioning Dead Space 3 in mid Feb which was close enough to the release of Dead Space 2 at the end of January.

Dead Space 1 is probably my favorite game this generation. I didn't bother finishing Dead Space 2. I got about halfway through. It was all great, but, I couldn't shake the 'I've seen it all before' feeling.

You wouldn't have lost that feeling in the 2nd half of the game, if anything, the feeling would have grown.

Dead Space 1 would've been almost legendary if left alone - the sequels will unfortunately do nothing but dilute the great experience of the original.
(although Extraction on the Wii (and PS3 obviously) actually seems pretty damn atmospheric so far!)
