This game is pretty awful but rating it higher than Red Steel is astonishing, playing this makes Red Steel feel like Halo 3 in comparison.

Far Cry: Vengeance rated higher than Red Steel!

I appreciate the two games were reviewed by different reviewers, but surely this stretches the credibility of the site to the limit.

As I said in the Red Steel thread, I'm a big fan of Pro-G, but I cannot see how this can fail to raise the eye brows of anyone who's played the games.

The game was reviewed by someone who has played Red Steel extensively, and in his opinion Far Cry is the better game, although neither could be considered 'good'.

All in our opinion of course.

Fair enough, but that does fly in the face of virtually every games reviewing web site and magazine out there. Just check Meta Critic.

The videos I've seen of Far Cry looked appalling - I even had it on pre-order and cancelled due to the overwhelmingly negative reviews it was getting.

Nothing would please me more than to hear it wasn't a complete car wreck (I assume you follow the same sort of 5 means 5 (completely average) system EDGE employ), but absolutely everything I've seen and read of it - save for this review - has suggested it is moderately less fun than having a hot knife rammed up your jacksey!

lets face it first person shooters will never translate well to the wii. If this is the sort of game you go for you need a pc or 360!

very very poor. i played the original game on pc and at times it got my heart pumping with the decent ai that kept you on your toes. the graphics flicker like a n64 game and the new control method is horrid.

im going to be much more careful with the games i choose as all genres clearly dont translate well.
