Tried playing Championship Manager a good few years back, but my PC was so slow I gave up. Only management game I've played was on the PlayStation a good while back and I quite enjoyed it. Can't remember what it was, but I'm sure Kevin Keegan was on the cover, and it wasn't LMA Manager I know that much... anyone remember it? A poor mans LMA! Will probably pick this up now as I've got a decent laptop to run it... but I hear it takes your life away... so much time getting put in... and I need to complete Halo 3, PGR4 when it arrives, then Orange Box next week, PES2008 after that and then CoD4. I'm gonna be a busy gamer in the run up to Christmas.

Update: It was Premier Manager Ninety Nine!

Wow, that's a terrible review. Whilst I appreciate the game may well be good, it seems this was a 9 before you'd even got your hands on it. You say it'd be boring to list the new features, yet spend half the review doing it, whilst never really making a particularly compelling argument for why anybody should buy it, let alone buyers of last years game.

Sorry, but you've done nothing to *really* tell me why I should buy it rather than sticking with 07.

Far too many match engine bugs to play a sound long term game. I will wait for the patch....

I've been playing it since the day of release and still haven't found any solid tactics to win games. You'll beat Man utd and lose 4-0 to Portsmouth. If I don't start finding some consistency with it soon I'll get fed up. I know you can't win them all but it takes the biscuit if you go five games on the trot drawing and losing with teams in the bottom half of the table!

ive played football manager games 4 a long long time and love them and also consider myself 2 b fairly good at them but................... not anymore!! sometimes go on losing streaks longer than peter crouch's legs and get beat 74-0 by the bottom team etc. VERY ANNOYING. im determined 2 succeed at this game but my patience is running thin.
