It needed a better bad guy/foil in the 3rd installment - Star Kid was.... disapointing.

They made the Reapers so omnipresent as to need a 'magic wand' to magic them away and so makes the victory(?) feel forced :0(

Totally agree with your second point Martin, remove the similar ending scenes and let yourself do the thinking. I know my galaxy, I know my story, I know how it's all going to happen, so don't show me. Especially don't show me the same thing you show everyone else, cos their experience is different, their universe is different, and so on. And you could never show me something good enough to match my imagination.
