The thing is with all these sorts of statements is that they always fail to factor in the cool value. It doesn't matter whether or not casual gamers can get everything on X, Y or Z. If something is cool then playground peer pressure builds so that you have to have the cool device no matter what it is, be it an iPad, Galaxy S or PS4. Whatever is cool sells. Right now the PS4 is clearly pretty hot property in the cool stakes. Whether it remains so long term is a different matter. The death of consoles has been predicted before, and it has never really worked out that way, I doubt this generation will sell significantly less or more than the previous generation.

A few months later he was heading up Scattered Entertainment for mobile and tablet title The Drowning.

I stopped reading as soon as I saw that, I'm not going to listen to someone slagging off consoles when it's clear they're completely biased.

For some reason, reading the title I keep getting the Haribo song in my head:

"Kids and casual gamers love it so, the happy world of Haribo."

Just me then?
