Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend Review
Quote:
Tomb Raider: Legend might not be an epic or set new standards like the original game did ten years ago, but it's thoroughly entertaining for its duration and is an impressive package on every system.

I was thoroughly surprised by this one. It seems to be geared more towards the mass market (like Oblivion compared to Morrowind) and to be honest, I couldn't put it down.

On a side note, the waterfall view in Ghana is just awesome.

Out of all the XBOX 360 games I have tried, this is by far the best - however, apart from a few spectacular scenes, it is much the same in gameplay terms as previous Tomb Raider offerings.
No way should the XBOX360 game be more expensive than any other version. In my opinion all XBOX360 games are highly over priced and are not 'next generation'.

Lara Croft Murdered!! (again!)
Angel of Darkness was an apalling rip off with no ccontrol over Lara's movements. It put me completely off all games since it appeared. However hoping things had improved I decided to give the series one last try with Legend. While it is an improvement on Angel it still has very poor movement control and this is really bad in some sections. It still is not even in the same class as the early TR games. Dont Eidos have any shame about peddling these grossly inferior versions of this game? Same old tripe, endless mind and thumb numbing repeats needed to complete a level. Who was the pratt who decided that the cheats could not be activated until the game had been completed!? I need the cheats as I dont have all the time in the world to endlessly repeat sequences to coplete a level. Also I want to save the game whenever I want to, not at some pre-determined point. Its the end of the line for poor Lara and me. It seems these game makers never pay any heed to what we the buyers really want so no more buying for me and I suspect many others as well.

Having not plaid Lara Croft for a while i sceen this and thought may aswell have a go and see what changes if any have been made since i last played.
I was impressed at the upgrade and the scenery was amazing.
I was however dissapointed at some of the tasks and the time it took to complete i was expecting more tasks and a lenthier and more challenging game!
Overall it was a fun couple of hours while it lasted :)
