Mortal Kombat to get new film
Remember that unofficial Mortal Kombat movie trailer that turned up last year? It's now resulted in a film being made for real.

I would pay good money for a digitisation of the copy you have, Neon! Grin

The web-episodes went down surprisingly well in the rum-up/post release of MK9, but whether that will (or indeed, 'can') translate into a full feature... I have significant doubts.

I would propose Killer Instinct as a fighting title that might be better suited, but then, Nightwatch did bestial-transformation so well, it wouldn't be necessary to do it again in what wold be a much cheesier manner...

Already speculation that the new Mortal Kombat game would be released in that time-frame.

I also have a taped-from-TV copy of Mortal Kombat! No idea where it is, though. I remember recording over the Street Fighter movie because we'd run out of tapes. Wise choice, the first MK is ultimate bad assery.

The first MK film? I rather liked the first one, but the second was complete butchery.
