I recall when this was hinted at as a potential title for ther 360 - shame, as it was one of the very few MMOs (as I have said before) I would be tempted to try out.

I am very surprised they couldn't sell the IP.

Knowing NCSoft its not a matter of not being able to sell it, but rather they weren't able to get triple-A Korean franchise money for it. I don't know man, after what they did to Auto Assault and Tabula Rasa, I've lost all faith (and interest) in them. If it weren't for Arenanet I would go as far as to boycott the company altogether.

Oh, come on Videogamer. Since when is journalism copying and pasting press releases?

I want to know:

• What attempts were made to sell Paragon Studios.
• What attempts were made to sell the IP, and how they were exhausted.
• Why a number of potential investors who came forward to try and buy the rights, did not receive a response of any kind from NC Soft.
• How NC exhausted all the option, given that the game is not due for closure until November 30, and the fact that there have only been only 32 business days since the announcement of the 'sunset' of the game.
• Why NC Soft did not consider combining servers, putting the game in maintenance mode and keeping it running without further developments or updates, or allowing people to create their own, private servers.
• Why NC Soft won't publicly name a price that they would be willing to accept for either Paragon Studios, or City of Heroes itself.
• Why a game that was running 'well in the black' and had seen an increase in players in the months leading up to the announcement is being closed down, while games such as Guild Wars which are running at a loss, are being kept alive.
• Why NC Soft failed to respond to an invitation from players to play the game with them, or a letter from best-selling author Mercedes Lackey to endorse NC Soft products, free of charge, for a period of five to ten years, for free, if they would be willing to work with players to keep the servers online.

and

• Why you didn't approach the SaveCOH campaign for their comments on the NC Soft statement, which should be pretty much basic journalism 101.

After the Richard Garriott debarcle, I wouldn't trust a word that comes out of NC Soft's mouth.

"It has not been an easy decision for us to close Paragon Studios and prepare to shut down City of Heroes! THAT IS COMPLETE B U L L S H I T for NCSOFT to make as a EXCUSE Where is Paragon Studios? lets get all of them back to gether. do these two functioons
1)Civil law suit against NCSOFT on this crap about City of Heroes and to shut NC SOFT Down Out of busienss.
2)enforce the law to have Paragon Studios to be the owners of City of Heroes.
while waiting for this
I like Paragon srudios to make a off line City of Heroes Freedom off the web version for us. Please
NOTE
NCSOFT stocks had been dropping. There are angry Korean NCSOFT level A stock holders are pisssssed off Nexon a video game compnay in Korea ownes 14% of NCSOFT level A stocks. lost millions of dollars with in months after buying them. at least 50% of the stock price had droped. because NCSOFT killed COH. Lost sales Done so much damage. Combine with the 3 Civil law suits Mavel being the first one. Followed by a 3D graphic Compnay that done a Civil law suit againt NCsoft on steeling propery and pattents. Then then NCsoft done a Civil law suit against blue-blah blah blah regarding TERRA online mmopg something to do with Lineage 3 game scorce code and graphics and design. well its costing NCSOFT money lots of it.

one other Quetions I like to ask is who is fighting for our rights to get City of Heroes back on for us? Who is fighting NCSOFT regarding this crap about killing COH not selling and what not.

what the hell is wrong with NCSOFT? Why the bull *****. I had sent a draft letter to Korea NCSOFT. no respond. a law office sent draft letter to NCSOFT korea

what the hell is Cryptic Studios is doing? its there product line too? what are they up to?why the worst phone service? why no one returned my phone calls? why not picking up the phone. I was sick in bed for 4 days due to a Cold. I taken time off from work. that time gave me lots of time to make lots of phone calld to Crypitc Studios. No answer.

its like the corp level who ever is in this crap dose not care.

who will get me the inforamtion on phone numbers who to call about this?

whos doing what?

what the hell is going on?
]
why hide the process of whats going on a secret?

any way I sent out 3 Civil draft letters to NCSOFT 2nd time to Korea and one to NCSOFT North America leagle department and one to CrypticStudios.
I am waiting.

I am also waiting for people with fat wallets with money stuffed in it. do a civil law suit to protect us. get our game back.

why spend thouands of dollars in my money to upgrade my computer for one MMORPG?
This MMORPG is something that much special for me to take heavy risc to skip my rent only for City of Heroes.

who can talk to NCSOFT?
is there a phone number I can call to a game develeper of Paragon Studios please
help me on this one. I got ideas and I like to get some ideas started.
start doing something

please help put ncsoft out of busienss. Please help save our City
thank you

Wow, didn't expect anyone to resurrect this thread.

Don't expect Cryptic Studios to do anything on this matter - they sold the rights to the franchaise ages ago, and as you probably know have since moved onto Champions Online. Cryptic is now part of Perfect World Entertainment anyways, and it would make no sense for either party to go anywhere near CoH at this stage - infact, they probably took pleasure in the closure, since there is I'm sure a bunch of players had migrated to CO when CoH's servers went down.

Even if Cryptic or PWE are interested, NCSoft wouldn't sell back the rights anyways - the previous Campaigns for Auto Assault and Tabula Rasa went nowhere.

Interesting to see these single-post-posters signing up just to write in this thread - and even more interesting to see the same people posting pretty much the same things word for word on other forums.

Nothing to do with anything, but hot girl on an informerical on TV btw, cooking soup.
