| Shame, it seemed so promising. I'd love a decent racer on the Wii, other than the brilliant Mario Kart of course. |

| Glad to finally see a Need For Speed on Wii that feels like it was actually developed for Wii, but this good game easily could have been great with a few tweaks. EA claims to have developed this game for the typical Wii audience, so why no online play? I can even understand the limited career mode if you go with the idea that lots of Wii players are about playing online and with friends vs. single player career modes, but to leave out online play and have a relatively shallow career mode makes no sense.
That said, this game is providing some great, thrill-a-minute fun. You can really feel the speed of the cars, and the overall intensity is great. Love having the cops back in the game, too, although I think this aspect would be more fun if you had greater freedom in where you could drive.
Also, props to EA for a great soundtrack, especially for the inclusion of Earl Greyhound's "Oye Vaya" - it's such a fantastic racing song. |
