Well... thats all a matter of Taste, isn't it?

It all depends on the Viewer. To speak for myself, I don't think the Launch Line Up is all too good. About 3 Games I would like to play, But not a Single One I would die for.
And thats why the N64 with Super Mario 64 still wins this in my personal View. Kinda like the Quality over Quantity thing.

And just to say, I don't count Games that I can play on Xbox360 and PS3 too. A Console always has to justify itself in my eyes with Exclusiv Content. But thats just me being Strange.

Neither one has any launch exclusives I care much about, and they both seem pretty like for like in terms of potential quality. In fact I doubt I'll buy anything other than multiplatform stuff this year.

The original XBox launched with Halo: Combat Evolved and Project Gotham Racing, so for me personally that was the best line-up.

Whilst the XBox One's two major titles - Dead Rising 3 and Forza 5 - are also big draws, die hard fans might be getting just a little bit tired of the formula and want to try something new, like a couple of free-to-play MMOs or the indies that the PS4 is launching with. Killzone will also be a new IP to that type of player so it might do surprisingly well.

Though I never played Nintendo consoles I'm pretty sure the Gamecube game out VERY strongly at launch with some great titles too.

GameCube lineup was a great launch lineup, I remember waiting for the delivery lorry with my console at the local game shop. Rogue Leader, Super Monkey Ball and Luigi's Mansion kept me busy for ages.

Playstation had a good line up;Wipeout, Toshinden, Ridge Racer and Novastorm.

N64 had Pilotwings 64, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, Super Mario 64 and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter

Dreamcast had a great lineup too;
Sonic Adventure
Blue Stinger
Dynamite Cop
Hydro Thunder
Monaco Grand Prix
Mortal Kombat Gold
Power Stone
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing
Sega Rally 2
Speed Devils
Tokyo Highway Challenge
TrickStyle
Virtua Fighter 3tb

So quite a few good launches there, I wouldn't say the current consoles are the best, but certainly both have some good games I'd like to play.

I'm still think the new Killer Instinct will be a great fighting game launch title. The mechanics sound fairly deep from what I've seen of Maximilian's videos, but a lot of people seem to be under estimating it. Which is fair enough since the devs haven't really explained the game to anyone other then member of the hardcore fighting game community.
