Read Article » Go to VG_Staff's original post Of course another great advantage to digital distribution is that two years down the line EA can pull the plug on their servers to make your old game completely redundant which encourages you to buy the latest version. You've got just 4 days to get your online game on in Madden 09, the server shuts on Feb 2nd 2010. Maybe if they changed their development model to create a persistent server that was serviced with updates they wouldn't have to keep shutting down old servers. Reply
