Online bullying strikes again. If only there was some way to get away from the abuse...some sort of close or off button...

I think the best thing would be to remind people not to throw abuse in the first place.

This is where we need Neon's old faux-tantrum sound effects! ^_^

But since people will always through insults, especially if people think you deserve it, you could disentangle your precious ego from twitter comments.

I never really knew much about Fish, but I typed into google "Phil Fish is" and Google finished off with "a douche" then offered this as the first image result

@Bloodstorm It doesn't matter. When the Internet is out to get you, it's like being in a playground with a bunch of seven year olds (except these ones tell you to kill-yourself). Dude made a good game. Wasn't really "the people's champion". Shoul have stayed out of the public domain really, might have got Fez 2 then!

I'm with Phil on this one. Granted all I know of the guy is from the Indie Game movie, but he seems like a decent guy to me, just your average job trying to make a living. I work in retail and I know how horrible people can be - and I know for a fact folks on the net are worse.

It's easy to say stuff like "yeah he should've ignored the nasty comments" or "stayed out of the public domain", but on the same note he shouldn't have to. Why and when has it become the norm, for it to be acceptable for folks to be attacked and abused? And why in gods name are people frowning upon and punishing those who are the victims of abuse, and not those who are throwing the abuse in the first place? Bully is bullying - even if it's the norm it just shouldn't happen, and when it does we shouldn't just stand back and accept it. It's a sad world we live in.
