Sigh the numbers are there for anyone to read, the situation is analogous to the PS3/X360 gap but not the same. Things will improve for XB1 over time but it will always be behind on ROP count and dealing with the 32MB ESRAM pool, the latter can and will be improved by better toolchains and documentation but the former is just a flat out limitation.

JAW must have suck up to Sony extra hard, now...

Still, I do hope the Oddworld titles might make it back over the the XBox, in some form.

Of course the gap can be narrowed, but Sony's machine is just more powerful, full stop.

He's correct. The PS4 has a CPU capable of a 2.75GB clock speed VS 1.75GB and 8GB DD5 VS 8GB DDR3 a good but much less capable RAM type.

People can argue and try to convince everyone that the Xbone is as capable as the PS4, but they're lying. The numbers don't.

DirectX 12 will offer little in the way of performance gains. It's simply an API wrapper. The true API is the low level API which won't be affected in any way by DirectX 12. It's been rumored that Microsoft will free up resources for games for a while now. That hasn't happened yet. Even if it does, 10% isn't 40% (the current hardware gap before the better SDK in the PS4 is even taken into account). There's nothing to see here. PS4 is more powerful. Let's just admit it and move on. You can still have fun with the Xbox One. PS4 is more powerful. Oh well. Next topic.

2.57GHz yeah right the ps4 can't reach that clock, with its stock heat sink and fan. It's currently clocked at 1.6GHz Sony did confirm this.

Tbh you don't know what your talking about do you?

Gddr5 not dd5
GHz not GB

Why? Is it too complex an issue for you to get your head around. It's easy. PS4 is extremely powerful and XB1 is lame due to a gimped GPU (12 compute units instead of 18) and zero GDDR5 RAM. Add those two together and you have major problems running next gen open world games.
