Paul WS Anderson, director and producer of the Resident Evil film series, has criticised directors of other game movie adaptations, claiming that these people simply don't understand the source material they're working with.

Ha! Ha! That's hilarious, considering that the Resident Evil films are nothing like the games (bar characters and a few nods here and there).

Crap director who makes crap films (Event Horizon was average though).

I have all 4 films on DVD, it helps that I'm a Jovovich fan and, to be fair, Anderson is probably the best hope we have of game to movie conversions. I quite enjoy the movies and sometimes wonder if they'll have any effect on the direction of the storyline in the series of games themselves. E.G. will Alice appear in Resident Evil 6?
