Silent Hill: Homecoming Review
Quote:
For newcomers, this game offers a solid entry point to one of the strongest series in the genre - provided you have a strong nerve and the tolerance for an uneven difficulty curve.

Konami are screwing up their big games recently. MGS4 was awesome but PES isnt anywhere near as good as their Playstation 2 efforts. Now the past two Silent Hills (4 and Homecoming) are also not up to standard. I realise the series needs new ideas just like Resident Evil did before its jump to 4 but they should really be making the game inhouse. I hope the next Silent Hill moves forward with the series rather than regurgitate things they have done in the past time and time again.

After playing SH homecoming it is much better than 4 The Room in every way

It's not quite up to SH3 and SH1 which remain my faverates but it's defernetly on par with Sh2 IMO.

Worse of the series(1-3, I count room as spinoff game), but I'm glad the development team decided to make an original horror game next instead of being tied to someone elses prior work. At least what they have learned won't go to waste.
