I blame this game for the x factor. People thinking they can sing and going on tv. I'm trying out next year and i'm going to hum the super mario theme tune. Should get as far as Jedward!

Yes, it is, but it's done so well, you get points, videos of yourself acting foolish (which you can post online) and full videos of the songs too.

Not disputing it lol. I think it's a good game for those that like that sort of thing. I have a laugh with my guitar hero mic and this goes to the next level. They had the Take That version on gadget show on Monday. I'd say Lips has the better software but this has the more varied songs and is obviously the original which pips it.

Most of the reviews say that Singstar is the better of the two because with Lips you get scored no matter what noise you make ( IGN , Eurogamer etc have commented on this) and it doesn't have the video function, though it allows you to use other songs, which Singstar doesn't do. But I can't speak from personal experience, not having played Lips yet.

And yes, I love singing along on Rockband or Guitar Hero, going through the whole of Rockband Beatles with the Mic at the moment.

RB Beatles is great, highly recommended. I guess for some the Lips scoring system will actually be a plus, particularly if you're tone deaf Grin
