great stuff. that last thing you said about portal is so right, it's the jet set radio effect, play it so much and love it that when you are out and about you start seeing grinding lines everywhere and you lose your self for a minute as you method backflip off the curb and gloriously grind down a hand rail.

I had it with that too! And notably, GoldenEye: I used to imagine I was firing the grenade launcher at stuff. Got very good at making the 'kthunk' noise. (Don't tell the Daily Mail.)

I cursed Assassins Creed 2 for giving me that effect a few years back - everytime I saw an ornate redbrick Uni building, I'd scan it for potential climbing routes...! Tongue

Im going to pick up Dark Souls this weekend. Ive never played it but the weight of positive opinion from games journalists is eating away at me. Im also never going to find all the ufo parts and letters in gta5 and its time i admitted it and moved onto another game.

But... but... XCOM?!

I agree with Red Dead 100% - the number of times I just trotted along on my horse to a beautiful vista and just stopped for a bit, wonderful.

Matt; your deep and sexy love of Dark Souls has enticed me into giving it a go. I will admit Demon's Souls literally scared me away with it's bleak and frustrating atmosphere. Do you think PC or is the PS3 suitable for Dark Souls?
