| Honestly, I think it could be said that Nintendo overall was a dissapointment this year. My Wii kept waiting for games, and the only decent game i was delivered (IMO) was No More Heroes. |

| I think that putting LBP in this category might be a little harsh. While the launch was definitely not the best (as was mentioned in the article) and the delay for political correctness was a bummer, the game is a fantastic game. Just because a launch was a little rocky doesn't mean that the game should go on the list of 2008's biggest disappointments - perhaps labeling it as a disappointing launch of 2008 might be a little more suitable. |

| The third biggest disappointment for me this year was Fable II being too short and too easy compared to the original, disappointment due to my expectations being a little too high I guess. I certainly wasn't expecting to get 1000/1000 Gamerscore from it in under a week.
My second disappointment was the apparent 'wolf-pack' mentality of the games press in regards to Denis Dyack and Too Human, the upshot of which was I now look at reviews purely as subjective opinion pieces, so I find gamers' comments tacked onto the end of previews/reviews more valuable when researching my next purchase rather than Metacritic averages. Destructiod giving Too Human 2/10 says it all really, I got 200 hours out of that game.
Obviously my primary disappointment is not getting a date with Jade Raymond. She doesn't write, she doesn't call. Not having my phone number or address isn't an excuse.
Overall: 2008 was a blisteringly great year for gaming, I don't think I've ever had so much fun in a 12 month period and the sheer volume of delights totally outweighs my minor disappointments. |

| I agree with the countdown ^^ Very nicely made, and very true. I was disappointed on Spore still not being confirmed for consoles though. But it's good to see a list of real disappointments, and a balanced one at that rather than one tilted by console preferences.
And it's just good to see one of these disappointment lists not contain PS Home, because it really isn't bad enough for that treatment. |

Gamewise, it would be Haze (though it's still far more playable than some would have you believe) and the whole DLC issue. It doesn't bother me platform-wise, I have all 3, but it's just annoying to feel forced into buying one version just to get content that either doesn't turn out to be that good, isn't as 'exclusive' as first thought or just doesn't turn up at all. |

| my biggest dissapoinement probaply that the new game halo wars is coming out exclusively to the xbox360 and not to the pc. even tho its an exact type of game for the pc.its sort of like star wars galactic battlegrounds but way cooler. now i have to buy an xbox360 just to play the game |
