| Been playing Soul Calibur V a lot since it came through the post yesterday. Not played MGS HD Collection since Friday. Done the tanker part and now on Big Shell. I will play it later today. |

| SW:TOR for me again, with a little diversion here and there to stay in the top 40 Poker ranking in Test Drive Unlimited 2.
SW:TOR is starting to lose its original lustre as the number of bugs that affect my Codex entries get discovered, the number of nodes I can't harvest increases, and the length of time I'm sitting in queues waiting for a Warzone to start exceeds anything remotely reasonable.
I'm still discovering lots of wonderful little quests though, like this morning I spent several hours just doing stuff I'd missed out earlier on Balmorra and ended up seizing an arms factory and exposing the Republic who were secretly supplying resistance forces there, which of course puts the fragile 'peace treaty' at risk. Very Skyrim-esque, just needs more of it.
Some people complain that the planets are too small, I guess they're not taking into account some of the planet-sized instances that are dotted around on each one, just need to pick up the right quest to access them.
And my poker skill increased, managed to knock 6 players out of a tournament at the same time with a lowly 2 pairs.Last edited on Sun 5 February 2012 by FantasyMeister |

| Continued playing with Dust force this week and beat all of the standard level, now I starting to feel the difficulty curve rising on the normal locked levels. Finishing a level is mostly easy in this game but you don't gain anything unless you perfect it, which I like. I've started to you use first attempts more to scout out a level rather then just throwing myself at it over and over. This is by definition a precision platformer. |

| So Wido what do you think of SoulCalibur V? I played a bit of that too, but wasn't too impressed. I got bored with it pretty quickly. Who knows maybe it's a decent online game, but as a offline only player I thought it was pretty average. I like fighting games but I suck at them, and my net connection sucks so I rarely go online with them. Anyways I don't really like any of the characters this time round either, and to be honest the main story mode bores me.
The rest of my time I've been back in Final Fantasy XIV. Still enjoying my return to that game thus far. Been busy doing my quests towards earning my own personal chocobo, though I have just hit a wall where the game requires me to find a party of adventurers - which, sadly can be kinda hard to find in this game unless you are in a clan filled with friends. Rage quitting soon perhaps? Hmmm, only time will tell. |

| Picked up Forza 4 on friday and really enjoying it thus far, looking to download additional DLC to unlock a wider range of cars. The addition of the Top Gear test track has grapped a lot of my attention. |

| The first of my games-bonanza dipped into is Rage, and I must admit that I am really enjoying it. Much, much more than the demo led me to believe I would. It is rather cheesy, linear, and a bit forced, but it is fun. A particularly nice asset are the Wingsticks. I am surprised most of the guns you pick up are so clean, and precise after so long a period of little-to-no maintenance...
Picked up the MGS: HD Collection on Friday, but only had a chance to start MGS2, before company arrived for a weekend visit. Looking to get on with that this week, so that the main attraction (MGS3) may be pursued.
Funnily enough, I also returned (briefly) to Test Drive Unlimited 2 - solely because i felt like a little racing, and that is still one of my top games of 2011. Also renewed my interest in attaining the final three achievements I need to fully complete the game...Last edited on Sun 5 February 2012 by Clockpunk |

| SCV in my opinion is pretty good. It is clunky sometimes when you are swinging a weapon around, but the visuals are very nice. The online is good as well and is full of decent players, but it will be the community which decide whether or not the online counterpart will be of any use.
If you are offline type of player then there isn't much to do other than go through all the quick battles earning the titles, 240 of them to be unlocked. The story mode was beyond beggar's belief on how cheesy and pathetic it was. That's my main gripe with the game and the unforgiving range of Nightmare, Siegfried and a few other characters. |

| I've mostly been playing Fallout New Vegas and Sonic Generations. Sonic is blisteringly fast, too fast for me at times but I'm enjoying it nevertheless.
@clockpunk: a wingstick to the head is a lovely moment. Provided it is the head of someone else. |

| I hit up the multiplayer Syndicate demo over the weekend and it was great fun. I was just thinking about renting it but I'm coming round to the idea of picking it up now.
I also downloaded the NFL Madden 2012 demo, fooling myself into thinking that I'll be able to understand the crazy ass rules to NFL in time for the Super bowl last night. I managed a touch down but don't really have a clue as to how it happened. |
