Read Article » Go to VG_Staff's original post IIRC from my ancient Warhammering days, the Hero Duel thing is actually present in the original table top game. Every Unit can have a hero type character attached to it, and if you like, you can pit the hero of one against a hero of the other to decide the fate of the whole unit. Looks like they just lifted the idea directly from the original game, so whilst this probably adds a decent variation not seen in a RTS before, it's not exactly the amazing innovation no doubt they lead you to believe.
