"It's not important because the PS4 got a higher resolution in almost every 3rd party game."

GAMEPLAY is more important than both.

Non-PC gamers are used to 30FPS now, anyway. 60FPS is certainly an advantage but out of the two, more people are going to recognize the difference in graphical quality over framerate. So personally, I'd say it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.

Man just keeps talking when it would be better to say nothing. You wouldn't catch Location Location Location's Phil Spencer putting his foot in his mouth like this.

If framerate is more important then the Forza games for The One should be made to be 900p 60fps then. Not 1080p 30fps. I would very much prefer 900p 60 over 1080p 30.

I'm not sure I completely agree with that sentiment. Don't get me wrong, gameplay always should come first, however a good frame rate is much more important to gameplay, then a higher resolution. A higher consistent frame rate directly improves the responsiveness of gameplay. The less frames per second, the longer it takes for your screen to show your registered input. That's not to say you can't play at 30. You can play any game at any reasonable frame rate as long as it's consistent. But frame rate is key to the responsiveness of a games controls. It's not just about whether or not your more more accustomed to a faster frame rate.

I'm a PS4 owner, and I agree with Phil! And @MJTH and @halodudify.

@pblive in some situations (racers|shooters) 60fps helps improve gameplay by giving the user a much smoother experience. But in essence you're absolutely correct!

"There are a long list of games" - Names one 3rd party cross gen title with a huge budget. And if it's all about shifting consoles for MS neither should matter individually but comparitively with what playstation can do price and performance wise.
