She nuked manufacturing in the UK, put daft taxes in place that shafted the working class and did everything in her power to make it better for the upper class.

buuuuuuuuuut she also turned Britain around from nearly going bust. I understand she also did some negative things too but this is a bit harsh in my opinion

Kind of irritating whenever something like this happens; everyone jumps on the bandwagon of hating Thatcher. I mean, if she was that unpopular then surely she wouldn't have won three terms?

I'm not pretending to know anything about her, because I don't and even if I did she was way before my time so I wouldn't really be too bothered by her policies anyway.

Just because she made cuts and so on she didn't do so for *****s and giggles there was a reason for it. Cameron's also making cuts because we're in debt not because when he isn't PM he wants to heat his house by burning £20's whilst laughing at the poor.

She's been in hell for almost a day and already she's closed 4 furnaces.

I'm half scottish and irish, that's all i'm going into.

And how old we're you when she was in power?

I'm not saying I'm a fan, there's a lot of decisions I disagree with, but Labour before her were digging a hole for Britain and she wasn't afraid to make some tough decisions, including standing up to the IRA (though you could argue she walked a fine line of denouncing terrorism with one hand and holding power with dictators on the other).

By that logic, we shouldn't be allowed to bad mouth Hitler.

End of the day she was an inhumane woman who ordered the attack on a fleeing submarine called Belgrano, was close friends with General Pinochet, Ronald Reagan and the Khmer Rouge, made it absolutely clear Nelson Mandela was a "common terrorist" and refused to sanction the South African government over apartheid, helped arm the Afghans and called them "freedom fighters", she recognised the Cambodian genocidal Pol Pot as a "leader" even though his victims were in the millions.
