Tell me about you
I think a lot of unanimously agree that VG lacks a little personality and that we don't know enough about the guys running the site. Hopefully that'll improve, but why don't we, the community, get the ball rolling?

I know I've been a little on-off over the last few years but I'm really, really getting back into posting regularly and I'm enjoying it a lot. I know tiny little bits about you guys but it'd be nice to know a bit more.

Now, the internet is a place where we can all be anonymous and feel somewhat protected, so I'm not suggesting you tell folk your employer or street name, maybe just a couple of facts about you, what you enjoy outside of gaming, which part of the UK (or abroad) you live and any other small, possibly irrelevant, facts. Basically anything you fancy sharing, whether you're new or have been here a while. Apologies to the guys who do know a lot about each other already.

I'll kick it off. I'm not far off 30 and live in Manchester. This year I'm marrying my American fiancee. I work for a medium-sized charity as a communications/copywriter fellow and I like basketball, craft beer and vegetarian food.

My name is Kierrien, i'm 23 and i'm an addict.

My addiction started when i was 18 and my friend said to me to try something new, she gave me a loan of her World of Warcraft account and thus my downward spiral......WAIT, wrong meeting.

Real talk, i'm 23, i live in Dundee, Scotland. I'm still looking for work until i go to Uni to do history, i've worked in some big hotels, a casino and even hosting for a model company. My interests include Martial Arts (used to do Karate when i was 8, stopped when i was 18 for health reasons), real ales, gigs and, believe it or not, gaming. i'm currently in a relationship and she makes me feel like the luckiest person alive.

I'm 38.

I grew up living in East Kilbride but have now been living in Perth for close to 10 years now.

I'm married with a 7 year old daughter.

I work in a very small office which is part of a huge company. I'm a programmer working in an incredibly frustrating environment and I'm incredibly bored with my job.

I like video games and I have a problem with chocolate.

Matt, 17 (18 in two months woot). American, as many of you know. I live on the West Coast of the US. Watched my siblings play games as a kid, then moved onto bigger and more glorious things from there once purchasing my very own PC 5-6 years ago with the help of the parents (and a new one more recently).

I enjoy console games but have no consoles to speak of in our house, apart from an old, worn out and heavily used Gameboy Advance (ahhh such a wonderful little device). I enjoy reading any book, which is probably where I get a lot of the weird, strange words people hardly ever say anymore that I tend to use.

I would like to think I am a movie aficionado, and am (shhh don't tell anyone) slowly amassing a large collection of movies (about 750 currently, old and new). Going to see a movie in the theater is a magical experience to me, and something I'll probably never tire of.

Podcast's are what I listen to most often (half because I dont have money to buy music, half because they are amazing), and it was in fact the very first VG Quizcast that brought me to this wonderful little site.

I have a wonderful girlfriend that I love very much, but doubt that it will continue after high school if I'm being brutally honest. Life, school, and work has eaten away much of the time I once spent enjoying all of my aforementioned hobbies. I haven't read a book that wasn't school related in over a year and I feel deprived. Gaming time, sadly, has recently suffered and other social things have taken precedence, but I chalk that up to this simply being a hectic time in my life and I have no doubt I will be back in the game soon Smile

Did not expect to get this in depth with a reply ^_^. I am looking forward to reading everyone elses responses.
