Call of Duty new ideas
I am a BIG fan of the Call of Duty series, I have played it since the very first, Call of Duty; Finest Hour. I am wondering if anyone has new ideas about what the people who make the Call of duty games should do in the next game. I know they have to continue with the story because Modern Warfare 2 left it wide open, but I'm wondering what they could do after the next one. In my opinion I think it would be cool if they took a swing at the wild west. You know revolvers, pump-action rifles, horseback riding and all that cool stuff. tell me what you think about my idea and let me know about any ideas you may have. LONG LIVE CALL OF DUTY!!!

I think MW 3 will resume after events of mw2 thats for sure but I am really excited about treyarch's cod which will be out next year.
Rumours have stated that it might be set in vietnam . Pretty exciting. BUt i think it should be set in future just like bf2142. COuld be a pretty nice change from the norm

I personally hated the rip-off ending to mw2 & think that ok we get the is going to be a 3rd but at least finish a story properly or as dramatically as its predecessor . I really felt the the main change that needs to come is a cover system like treyarch put in Quantum of Solace . The fact that you see AI take cover & blindfire & you can't is getting a little silly as no militaryman or woman would step out fully into the open whilst under fire in real life & your AI comrades don't just makes you look a bit like a dude with a death wish , I was suprised when WAW didn't keep the cover but cod fans would probably have moaned but in reality the series is great but the gameplay is getting a bit stale with no cover & grenade spamming on harder difficulties (not so much mw2) a proper cover system would for me add to changing this
The other things are that the 4 player co-op story is kept /brought back in mw3 & in game split screen story is made a permenant feature . As i have said before i love co-op gaming locally & online but the spec ops got boring with just 2 players where as 4 player gives you & your mates more fun.

I thought Treyarch aren't going to be doing any more COD games Wink I thought Activison have given IW the whole rights of making future COD games.

EA's or shall I say DICE's MoH is looking good. I'm looking forward to that.

I like the idea of 4 player coop and have wanted that for a while now, though i dont think a cover system would work. Possibly at intervals in the campaign but never online. Its not what cod is about sneaking or hiding its about running and gunning, killing and dying but at fast pace. Dont feed the campers Wink

nope, scott. A cod has already been more or less confirmed for 2010. I dont know whether it's treyarch or anyone else but ACTIVISION arent stupid enough to not release a cod every year Tongue
MoH is looking good,too.

Suppose your right there with Activison. Milking the series if you ask me for that quick golden pound.

Kamarov, this Russian man they have just wipe em out without any warning.
So they can take advantage from this in the third modern warfareIII,like to help "Soap" and "Price"to take out Makarov.

Yeah, what the hell are Activision going to do now? Another World at War? Doubt it, unless they seriously surprise me, I think it's just going to feel like they're bringing out another game for the sake of it.
However, where MW is concerned, they definitely left the story wide open, and I don't agree that it wasn't a proper ending, but I just can't see how they can follow it up. I loved it, but it just got seriously ridiculous in the end, how do they top that?

Activision to me are looking to maximise the cod franchise with 3 seperate devs & a 3yr time frame for each . Its good business but @ £50 a pop & up to £24/3x add ons that people seemed to payout for the last 2 installments as consumers we really need to wake up. Unless each one delivers something new then although we shall no doubt buy each game i fear 1 will rule em all .
Mw2 has spec ops , waw has 4 player co-op will the new game do a normal online competitive as standard but a resistance2 type 8 player co-op ? It seemed to work & is still popular .
Again going back to my point about us waking up . Would you purchase all these games 3yrs apart or would you rather have 1 that does it all . Personally i would have 1 but only because mw, resistance2 halo3, gears & warhawk are games that have had that something that keeps us playing but to have 3 with only 1 extra mode between them the cod franchise which i said b4 is for me becoming stale in gameplay will definitely become a bit of a cash whore where it will be stale to everyone.
