| Searched the forum and there seems to be no Castlevania: LoS thread.
I got the game yesterday. It was either LoS or Enslaved. I went with Castlevania in the end, as it looks more of my cup of tea. I do like Enslaved as I was impressed by the demo but it didn't dramatically want me to buy it.
I'm really liking Castlevania at the moment and I'm still on chapter 1 starting mission 5. Total reboot to the franchise and right thing to do by Konami. Definitely going to bring new people to the game. Combat is like your other hack & slash games, and easily common comparisons with God Of War and Dante's Inferno. The environments are really good. The colours are very lush and I like the switching between the colourful areas to the really dark areas. The cut scenes are very good.
Voice sync are perfect, didn't notice any out of sync.
I would say that its a slow starter for the plot. Combat wise, great introduction on what you are going to get ahead. The story seems to be starting off now on where I have got too. The great bit to my pleasure is that its 2 disc's. Lots of gaming to be had and a lot of killing to be done.
I easily recommend it so far. I shall write up a more in-depth comment the further I get into the game. For now, Castlevania will have to wait. Dead Rising 2 is calling. |

| I think that I might get this for Christmas, I mean, it looks a little too like God of War and I have all three of them, so I'll probably just wait for the price to drop.
Very impressed by the demo though. |

| I too loved what I saw in the demo and the Extended Play feature on this very site has made me even more eager to try it in full.
This has been a hands down winner over Enslaved for me since I had the ability to make a comparison. This is a must, and will become part of my collection before the year comes to an end... |

| I've read many good things about this, but not many of them are from reviewers, but no one cares about them anymore. I personally really enjoyed the demo and plan on getting it sometime soon.
Though I've had the interesting 'twist' spoilt for me, though it shouldn't ruin the story. |

| I really like the look of this, good hack'n'slash done well is very enjoyable. Haven't had a good go at one since DMC3 so am looking forward to Bayonetta, GoW1, 2 and 3 and this too! All on the Christmas list! (Except Bayonetta which I picked up for a tenner at Morrisons but will give that to my nan to wrap up for me ) |

| The only way Castlevania has a comparison to God Of War is the gameplay. The scenery in some places are familiar but when you meet this creature. I got a Pan's Labyrinth feel and when continuing with the game it will differ from God Of War.
Finished Dead Rising 2 twice now. Thanks to Clockpunk. Really is a good game when playing with friends.
Now my attention can focus on Castlevania for a while till MoH comes out. I will then be juggling them both and with WWE Legends. |

| Does the story make sense if you haven't played any previous games? |

| I just talked to my buddies who have played it and they said its just a lesser version of God of War. Anyone feel the same way, disagree?
Let me know cuz I have yet to play it. |

| You should try the demo and judge for yourself.
The idea that it is a lesser version of GoW is the opinion of your buddies. You may find similarities of course going by the hack 'n' slash nature of it but ultimately proof is in the pudding so to speak. |
