Only thing that's stopping me is, yea you guessed it, is it illegal to share Doom these days? I'm sure it isn't since it's open source but i want to make sure. Reply

You can get the shareware version completely legally right here, and I doubt very much that any WAD creator will have any problems with you linking to them, although they might prefer you going to the page rather than the individual files.
