Dropping some questions.
I posted this question the other day and after getting replies to it I realized I don't have many friends who are actual gamers. I am also going to expand the question into another two related questions.

Question One: Playstation or Xbox or Wii? Sony or Microsoft or Nintendo? Everyone who plays video games have their favorite console, which is yours?

After years of being an Xbox player I switched to the Playstation, and now I am a dedicated Playstation player. I even have the Playstation 4 preorder and paid off completely. So, gamers which is your system of choice?

Question Two: Which Next Gen console will be at the top of your list?

As stated before I am going with the PlayStation 4, I mean monetary wise it's the choice for me, but it comes down to more than just money. I have been with Sony and the Playstation since the 90's and the only reason I ever got a Xbox is because all of the people around me had them. So, once I lost contact with those people and my Xbox went out the only logical choice to me at least was to return to my roots and get a Playstation 3.

Question Three: Which game or games are you looking forward to?

Right now I have five games preordered at GameStop. Watch_Dogs, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Grand Theft Auto V, Saints Row IV, and Call Of Duty: Ghost, three of the five I have preordered for the Playstation 4. Although these are not the only games I am looking forward to, the weeks following E3 I found a few new titles that have completely grabbed my attention. First being Destiny, I am so glad to see Bungie moving away from Halo (even if it is for one project) they are a wonderful company with a lot of potential and I look forward to seeing more about Destiny in the coming months. The Division is another game I am raving about right now, I watched an interview in which it was confirmed that you can play solo and multiplayer online, and also when playing multiplayer you can be paired with people with similar play style as your own. These are just a couple of games I am looking forward to right now, but there will always be more.

I can't really pick a favourite console, it's a bit like 'which is your favourite LOTR movie?', the answer is simply the whole experience. I currently get my kicks on the 360, before that PS2, both have HUGE libraries now.

Next gen I'm leaning towards PS4 - Kinect looks like a waste of money so far, as does about 80% of XBox One's functionality in terms of what it can offer me as a gamer. Plus I haven't been with Sony for a decade so I get to play exclusives I missed via Gaikai and indulge in new franchises.

Looking forward to:

Grand Theft Auto V
Gran Turismo 6
Destiny
Tom Clancy's The Division
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Diablo 3
Drive Club
Sacred 3
Borderlands 3
Red Dead Redemption's inevitable sequel

and maybe Final Fantasy XIV, still need some convincing on that one.

That was a great answer honestly. Most people don't take into consideration that it's not really about the console it is about the games. Like I said before personally for me the Playstation has all of my gaming history, I can play more of the games that I grew up playing. I would still play on 360 and I would buy a Xbox One if I had the money, but the PS4 has more of my interest.

I would also like to comment on your mention of Final Fantasy XIV, I just got finished playing in multiple beta phases and I quite enjoyed it. I played it both on PC and PS3, and I personally preferred it on the PS3. I won't be getting it automatically, but once it is released on the PS4 I might get it then.

1-
a. None, I'm really more into handheld games because of my lifestyle (always on the run, has to share TV with family, etc.) Although when I do play console games... it's hard to choose. Each system has its merits, and exclusive games.
b. Nintendo. I guess. Again, it's hard to choose.

2-
PS4 maybe, but I haven't been paying much attention to anything outside of 3DS related stuff. But PS4 looks better than Xbox180. Actually a rock with wiggle eyes glued on it looks better than the newest incarnation of Xbox right now to be honest.

3-
Pokemon X.
The new Pheonix Wright and Zelda titles for 3ds.
There's supposed to be some Regular Show game coming out soon too, but like the Phinneas and Ferb one I'm not sure if I want it for the gameplay, or just because I like the show.
They also talk about releasing Zelda: Majora's mask for 3DS, and while it is my alltime favourite game, I'm just not sure about actually getting it. It's a game I've already played, and on such a smaller screen, I just don't know.

Q 1 and 2 - All of them.

Q 3 - Not sure yet, there's lots of interesting stuff coming to all the consoles, PC and handhelds over the next 6 months or so.

For the current gen, I prefer the 360. Pretty sure it is due to the controller. Really love the thing. And I play most games on the 360 aside from some RPG's like Ni No Kuni and Tales of Xillia. Of course, if they were out on the 360, that is the console I would play them on.

As for next gen...neither the X1 or the PS4 seems to have any games that really excite me. However the PS4 is the one I shall get first just because they are consistent and seem to be more focused on games than MS and games is really the point of a game console.

GTA V and Watch Dogs are the two big daddies on my list. Don't really care about the rest Grin
