What games do you think that they should make into a film?
Me personally I think Uncharted Drakes fortune deserves a full feature film. Maybe in CG maybe live action.
Also what do you think of the new street fighter film?

Gears of War would make a good film. The characters area already there, along with several action set-pieces, and no real need to shoehorn too many games references in to what is essentially a fairly self-contained story.

There should be a World of Warcraft movie, "Carry on Raiding" or something, although trying to give Robert De Niro acting directions like 'OK, go AFK' might be a little beyond what he's used to. Can't really fail, there's a ready-made audience of 11 million and Jason Statham wouldn't need much CGI to play a dwarf.

In my opinion they shouldn't make video games into movies because the movies invariably suck...
... they actually try to make a decent movie for a change. The problem with most game-to-movie conversions is that they are ill-conceived and are only interested in making a wad of money. This usually involves a few cost-cutting measures (i.e. cheapest script writers) followed up with a dazzling array of special effects "coz that's all we're really interested in, right?".
Well they went down that road plenty of times with comics before they started to take it seriously as a genre. More recently we have seen decent comic-to-movie conversions done with the likes of 300 and Watchmen (sticking close to the source material), and others like Batman which has remained faithful to the character of the comic books.
It's high time that 'Hollywood' sees video games as having a bit more substance than the pulp they seem to spit out. Get some gaming fans to help write the script; people who care about and understand the game being movie-fied.
Then, when they are ready to take it seriously, perhaps Gears of War?
(just coz I bloody loved that game).

What about suggestions which would really challenge the film companies? Let's see them make a worthwhile film out from Pac-Man.
