| From the people that brought you Knights Of The Old Republic and Jade Empire, take a look at 'Mass Effect'. An action RPG set in the future, fighting an acient evil in a living, breathing galaxy:

Another Bioware legend in the making? This is the first part of a trilogy of titles and it sounds great. Shame its a xbox360 exclusive but finally this could be the game that makes me bother to get one, I just wish Nintendo could get something like it for use with its new interface.
Ownage approved :hump:

| Most definitely, if I have the money, of course
I am still contemplating buying a gamecube for resi 4 to play when I get some time (no...I don't consider the PS2 version even an option... ) |

| Apparently the PS2 version of RE4 is astonishingly good, and extremely close to the GameCube version.
Bioware are/have been one of the very best RPG developers out there, but their console output has yet to match their PC offerings. Jade Empire seemed to disappoint a lot of people, and although I enjoyed KOTOR a lot I do think it was nowhere near as good as, say, Baldur's Gate II.
As for exclusive games encouraging you to buy a system... well, duh. They're the only real reason to buy a system in the first place. |

For normal, sensible people yeah but not those die hard fanboys
I think everyone has seen or heard of fanboys ridiculing something they know nothing about just to protect their side of the fence so to speak. Casual gamers or the ''mainstream'' are more likely to stick to one system anyway, usually whoever has the best marketing. |

Meh, I don't know enough about the PS2 version but it pushes the Gamecube pretty damn hard which is more powerful so I dunno. Hey you're the one with the job in video game press you tell me, lol
Heh, I'm actually told by Tom that the PS2 version is better in many ways!
My job on Pro-G rarely involves any actual interaction with games unfortunately, hence my lack of knowledge about the specifics of some... I just assumed the PS2 one would not be as good being the less powerful machine.
I'll certainly be making some time to play on the next-gen consoles though :P |

| I thought about a PSP more after seeing the specs and the words 'Dark Cloud 3'. |

| I finished Mass Effect about 2 weeks ago and I have to say, I wasn't impressed. I didn't really think much to the combat and the only thing that felt RPG-like was the ranking up system. I didn't particularly enjoythe story and was left with a sense of confusion as to all the hype behind it. |
