Mass Effect 3
Surprising this thread hasn't been made yet, but nonetheless! One is now here...

As the usual questions will appear, who, what platform & what edition are you going for? Are you excited for ME3 than anything else this year? ME2 certainly got people on these very forums very excited, and I'm sure ME3 will have the same effect.

If you are speaking about past games, please use spoiler tags for those that haven't finished the game, even though they should have by now! Laugh

I am currently going through ME2 on the belated Insanity run that I wanted to do last year. I just didn't seem to have the mustard in me to sit down and play through. I did try it on Insanity, but, I came to a hard situation which, well, you know... Now that I am doing that playthrough... Surprise, surprise! I did the part I got stuck on a while ago in my first attempt... Very happy to say the least, and I have done the Shadow Broker DLC, and returning back to recruiting and loyalty missions and etc.

Mass Effect 3 will releases March 9th - week after my birthday! Excited With a rammed packed February and March also looking that way. Will Mass Effect 3 be the top pick for some?

It's being released the day I see Protest the Hero, who are my favourite band of the last 2 years. This also happened when Zelda was released and I saw Symphony X Sad

Sort of looking forward to it. I'm a huge fan of Mass Effect, but ME2 was very disappointing for me, and what I've seen isn't reassuring. The combat is still great, though, so that's something.

Pre-ordered the Collector's Edition on 360, completing the trilogy of ME CEs.

ME3 is now suffering from Zelda-syndrome imo. Everybody is assuming it'll be great so no-one is talking about it Wink

I will most definitely play it at some point, but probably after i've seen more gameplay to get me more excited about it.

Streetfighter X Tekken comes out the same day, so this pretty much doesnt get a look in Smile

Its not being discussed as people are desperate to avoid having anything spoiled imo.

Can't wait for ME3. I'm even interested in the co-op mode (shock, controversy, cake!)

I'll be getting the 360 version and I've just been reminded to order the special edition tonight. I usually don't bother with special editions, but the ME3 one seems pretty good, plus it's the last game of the 'Shepard-trilogy'. Let's hope the co-op mode is good so that the forum community can have a few collective games.

Does anyone know when 'Kingdoms of Amulur: Reckoning' is out? Another game I'm pretty interested in, so it looks like EA will be getting quite a bit of my money this early on in the year.

Kingdoms is out in Feb and don't forget to download the demo, which it's available now, as you will unlock ME3 items.

I keep away from any spoilers of all games that I am interested in. Mass Effect 2 left me with many questions unanswered, which makes me more eager to find out what happens.

I'm pissed off that Origin is required for all copies, whether digital or retail on PC. Sure it was expected, but I think it's terrible for any game to be exclusive to an online platform (even if it's on Steam. Skyrim is a recent example of this). Does Origin even have an offline mode? I installed it earlier but it's absolute sh*t so I uninstalled.

Bumped my preorder down from the Collectors Edition to the Standard the other day. The packaging is nicer, but I just cannot justify the extra £30 - the cost of a Metal Gear Solid HD Collection - on a bit of DLC, which was the main draw for me.

Still miffed that the co-op mode doesn't feature playable Quarians, but knowing EA, paid DLC will probably focus on that mode.

just watched the mass effect 3 is better with kinect, looks so ***** with kinect, those people are being paid by bioware to say kinetic is great for mass effect 3, you can just hear the bs in their voice but im not sure whether im buying it yet or renting, wait till reviews come out and see what price reductions they do after a month of it being out
