Series that will stay with you forever?
What I want to ask is,

What video game Series have you played that will stay with you forever? I am willing to be a bit more flexible with this in saying, If it has 2 or more games in it, I consider it a series.

For me it will always be the witty Jak Franchise, some epic gameplay along with the amazing comedy of Daxter always keeps me coming back for more, whats more is, you can get all 3 on PS2 for under £1 or get a HD collection but since I do not own a PS3 I am stuck with the PS2 versions.

What is a series for you?

I wouldn't enjoy seeing a Final Fantasy on here considering the ones which are actual direct-series are pants I would be shocked.

There are a few really:

Persona
Jak (as you said a great series)
Fallout
Pokemon
Elder Scrolls

But overall I would argue that Pokemon basically brought me up so deserves to win :P

Edit: TU for a great topic.

I can see what you mean with Pokemon but I feel that it is too similar for me to call it one of my best.

Yet I have put 30 hours into White 2 in the last week :L

Damn you beat me by 5 hours. It's similar but probably the most played series in my lifetime. Other than that maybe Mario?

Hmm Mario and Pokemon are more Franchises, not huge differences in the games nowadays, its a pity, pokemon 15 years ago was brilliant :L

Both have 2 or more games (and then some!) and I could argue that the games have the same core mechanics with differing gameplay options, it's the same with most series but with some it stands out more than it does with others.

Hmm, I see what you mean, Sort of contradicted myself there :L

Well they are all great games so they will stay with my forever but I cannot see them meaning as much as others because they will probably still release them in 2050 :L
