Splinter Cell recommendation for PS3 ?
As i understand there are a lot of Splinter Cells available for the PS3. Some new ones and conversions from older consoles. I've never played a Splinter Cell game, which one would you recommend?

For the PS3 you can get the Splinter Cell Trilogy, which has Splinter Cell, Conviction and Pandora all in one set and is a budget price now (about £10 on Amazon).

FantasyMeister is slightly mistaken but makes the right suggestion.

The Splinter Cell games are fantastic. But, avoid Double Agent like the plague. Unfortunately Conviction didn't make it onto the PS3. It was a great game. The campaign bent the Splinter Cell formula and it had a fantastic alternate mode. But, the peak of the Splinter Cell games is easily Chaos Theory. It's one of the best stealth games ever made (yeah, I said it). I've heard that the PS3 ports aren't great. But, if you're gonna get Splinter Cell on the PS3, as FantasyMeister suggests, buy the HD Trilogy. The first game is nice to have. Pandora Tomorrow has some great missions, but is very linear and Chaos Theory is great!

Enjoy! Grin

EDIT: Be prepared for last-gen graphics. These games don't have current-gen visuals.

Trilogy anyday! And pick up Double Agent set after Chaos Theory. You can get it very very cheap and it isn't hard to find a copy. Shame the xbox didn't get the HD collection.

Indeed Double Agent on PS3 was horrible, but pick it up for story purposes. It is a fun little game to play, so don't pre-judge too yet! I think there might be a demo on the PSN store, so check it out!

Yeah shame that never did. I really really liked Conviction. Tons of fun.

Didn't wanna start a new thread but this one will do. New trailer for Splinter Cell and it's been delayed until August which is gutting as I really wanna play it.
