Two Worlds II Now Amazon Exclusive
Crazy, but true, due to the debacle of Two Worlds II's UK launch (delays, more delays, pirates boarding vessels from China and destroying GAME exclusive Royal Editions), Topware Interactive announced yesterday morning that they're giving up on trying to get the game to retail in the UK and instead are selling it direct from Amazon.

So if you've got a pre-order with anyone other than Amazon, you might as well cancel it, apparently. I cancelled my ShopTo preorder yesterday.

Personally I was unsure whether to then order from Amazon, or from Topware Interactive's seller profile on Amazon which appeared yesterday. I plumped for the latter, slightly more expensive, but I'm in one of my "I want it NOW" moods.

I would have loved to go into reporter mode and approach GAME for comment, and TopWare Interactive for comment, but instead I'll just leave you with my comment: "Thank **** the waiting is over!"

You tend to like all of the under-dog, quirky games, don't you? Smile
Shame Mind Jack didn't work out for you, but I sincerely hope you enjoy this and that your day one purchase is worth it.

I find it strange that they would limit themselves so much, but I suppose if no-one else is willing to sell it, why not go for it with Amazon. I don't think this will be a trend though.

Lots of sources, but here's just one. A lot of news sites ran the story yesterday early morning, oddly Videogamer.com didn't as far as I can tell.

I wouldn't say I like all of the under-dog games, I'm just stupid enough to spend money on giving them a go to see if I like them.

Most of the time they're under-dog for a good reason, but Two Worlds, luckily, turned out to be a real diamond in the rough for me. Same with Blue Dragon, The Last Remnant, Resonance of Fate, DarkStar One etc, I get more enjoyment out of games like those than I do the big hitters like COD or FIFA.

For me Two Worlds II is a no-brainer, right up there with Final Fantasy sequels.

I have very little faith in topware interactive and these recent events have done little to change my mind.

I totally understand that.
I appreciate a game a lot more when it's less recognised. I guess I'm esoteric and self-absorbed in that sense.

*Excitement, gets out the sleeping bag and thermos*

Something we can agree on, at last! Tongue Darkstar One is a fantastic, yet sadly overlooked, title.
