| I tend not to talk to any random person just because i have a mic but every now and again i'll chat to someone who isn't on my friends list. most of the time it's while i'm in-game with mates talkin trash and other random stuff which means nothing to a complete stranger.
That said, as some of you would know i'm from australia and i have to admit i've spoken to very few brits online. Suffice to say that this doesn't necessarily mean i've not played against or with any british gamers, cause i wouldn't know unless i took the opportunity to ask...
What frustrates me is that a lot of gamers tend to like the sound of their own voices and insist on yelling and blabbering constant dribble into the mic, playing really bad music and audibly encouraging themselves through a game (yes america, i'm talking about you).
For the record the brits i have met and spoken to have been well 'ard lol. Sorry guys, bad attempt at at a certain flavour of british slang there... Guaging this website though i reckon i'd be happy to chat to any one of you...Last edited on Sat 7 November 2009 by clangod |

| I think it's more a case of Brits not wanting to interact with obnoxious Americans. |

| I think some of the Brits are just as bad as the Americans in my honest view.
They are far easier to wind up mind lol. |

| Yeah they seem to take everything so seriously.
The americans have some sort of innate assumed ownership on winning and crack balls as soon as ***** don't go their way. It's extremely amusing for about 30 seconds, then i turn the mic off.Last edited on Sat 7 November 2009 by clangod |

| Lulz. Since when has there been a such thing as "not talking enough online?" I never even did it once until March of this year. I do it every few days now.
You sound like France. |

| Pffft, I'll talk to anyone. Even those moronic Americans who think that shouting "Dude, you SUCK!" counts as teamwork. In fact, I especially like talking to those guys, and have a feeling that most of my negative feedback comes from the pieces of mind I serve them!
If there was no Jeni or kids in the house, my chatter would be incessant and extremely colourful. But, I keep it down, because I am considerate and don't want to wake them. |

| Let the record show that I never said I didn't swear.
I do all the time but never when the kids are around. It's kinda hard not to in most cases. I tend not to play the violent games when they're around as to not subject them to it and get them interested in something they don't understand. I also never put my stepson online when he plays as I do not think it is the right environment for a child, as he would for the most part only hinder the game by being unaware of or unable to follow the objectives. This would make it very frustrating for others involved during some game types.
A good friend and I were playing Modern Warfare a few days ago and low and behold we ended up in a predominantly American lobby. During said game we were chatting to each other as per usual and one of our team members (American) started hanging ***** on us for being Australian and continued to yell random *****e at us and this guy clearly had no idea what he was talking about. We fired back of course and what was intended to be a contest between two teams became a slandering match when one of the American guys (now joined by two others), started shooting us (his own god damned team mind). Well two teams quickly became three and the game was ruined. They could dish it out but they couldn't take it. I'd also like the record to show that we F*****G owned them!!!
So no, I do not jump in and take part in that egotistical bull***** that these yankee doodles call chatting. Fair to say that I've also had the extremely rare game in which a few Americans were actually there to play and chat rather than yell abuse over the mic their mummy just bought them for their birthday. It's a shame that these games are few and far between though. |

| I only play with people that I know, and I will absolutely always play with my headset on. On the rare occasion that I play with strangers (usually 1v1 on Guitar Hero for achievements), I don't bother because it's for like 5 minutes and they're always too busy getting their asses handed to them. |
