VGers VS Staff: SFIV on July 1 (PS3 + 360)
Hello everyone,

After much wrangling, and a spirited voting campaign organised by altaranga, I am happy to announce that we will finally be running our first VideoGamer.com Staff vs The Forum SFIV competition on July 1st.

Yes indeed. On Wednesday July 1st we, the humble staff of VideoGamer.com, will be taking on you - the almighty masses of The Real World / Internet Land. Originally we were only going to run a PS3 competition, but after a quick chat we've decided we'll cater to 360 owners as well.

Here's how it'll work: You now have until the end of Thursday next week to register your interest in the competition - simply post in this thread with your platform of choice, as well as a rough description of your skill level.

Once we've got an idea of how many people are playing, we'll move on to the next stage, where we'll work out who's playing who. Rather than setting up a true tournament structure, we'll just keep a tally of who wins each match, with each victor winning a point for either the VGers (ie you guys) or for the staff. At the end of the night, we'll post a final score... we might even try to capture a few matches so that we can post vids up on the site (Seb is going to look into this).

So there you go. Sign up below if you fancy taking us on. One further note: we're all at different skill levels here, so don't worry too much if you wouldn't know a Focus Attack Dash Cancel if one bit you on the arse. On the other hand... if you think you're a bit tasty, Wez is waiting.

Now go home and be a family man!Last edited on Wed 17 June 2009 by mydeaddog
