Formula 1 2012 Season
I thought I would kick start this thread after hearing the sad news that Barrichello has unfortunately been replaced at Williams. The full team lists can be found below and I will update them with any changes as and when they happen.

Mclaren- Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button

Red Bull- Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber

Ferrari- Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa

Mercedes- Michael schumacher and Niko Rosberg

Lotus (formerly Lotus Renault) - Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean

Force India- Paul Di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg

Sauber- Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez

Toro Rosso- Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-eric Verge

Williams- Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna

Caterham (formerly Lotus)- Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli

Marussia (formerly Virgin)- Timo Glock and Charles Pic

Below is also the 2012 race calender;
01- AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX (Melbourne) 16 - 18 Mar
02- MALAYSIA GRAND PRIX (Kuala Lumpur) 23 - 25 Mar
03- CHINESE GRAND PRIX (Shanghai) 13 - 15 Apr
04- BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX (Sakhir) 20 - 22 Apr
05- SPANISH GRAND PRIX (Catalunya) 11 - 13 May
06- MONACO GRAND PRIX (Monte Carlo) 24 - 27 May
07- CANADIAN GRAND PRIX (Montréal) 08 - 10 Jun
08- EUROPEAN GRAND PRIX (Valencia) 22 - 24 Jun
09- BRITISH GRAND PRIX (Silverstone) 06 - 08 Jul
10- GERMAN GRAND PRIX (Hockenheim) 20 - 22 Jul
11- TURKISH GRAND PRIX (Budapest) 27 - 29 Jul
12- BELGIAN GRAND PRIX (Spa) 31 Aug - 02 Sep

19- UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX (Austin) 16 - 18 Nov
20- BRAZILIAN GRAND PRIX (São Paulo) 23 - 25 Nov

Also recent news is that Kubica has had a fall outside his home in Italy, causing him to have another operation on the leg he injured last year in a pre-season rally. Sources say he will have to have a metal pin through his right ankle, his return to f1 in 2012 looks unlikely but those rumours about him taking a seat at Ferrari in 2013 just wont die.....

I wonder if Bruno can follow in his father’s footsteps and succeed @ Williams. It shall be another great season. Can you look past Vettel winning the championship though??

unless the other cars are very competitive, its hard to see that vettel will be beaten, i think his greatest competition could come from fernando alonso, ferrarri would have started to develop their f1 car early last year due to a hurdenus season. hopefully mclaren can bring rain on their parade tho Smile

Topic thief! Wink Just kidding.

It is sad news about Barrichello, I think that might possibly be the end for the old timer now which is a shame.

I'm keeping an eye on Paul Di Resta and Kimi this year, of course I'm still rooting for McLaren and our boys too!

It's a shame we aren't gonna see Robert Kubica back this year yet either, guess he's still recovering from his injuries, it's a shame cos he was someone I was looking out for to go far as well.

Agree concerning Kubica he was looking good prior to hsi horror injury.

Hamilton vs Button will be interesting again to see who will claim the no.1 spot within McLaren.

But will anyone catch Vettel?

Thing is, a new season can always bring about big change. Something that just works in a new car and gels together is all it takes.

Can't wait for the start of the season and I'll still be rooting for Button.
