|K3RT|I got my new pc today it was delivered to my parents house where I unpacked it and tried it out everything worked fine including the sound on there TV (it was connected with a HDMI cable from my graphics card) so after checking it out and showing it my dad I took it back to my house where I connected it to my TV now the picture is fine however I can't get any sound to come from my TV?
The sound from my 360 is fine so I know its not the TV or the HDMI cable so what can it be? anyone got any ideas?

There'll be a setting somewhere in the sound options to output sound over HDMI. I had a similar issue when I first set my PC to TV up.

|K3RT|Cheers for the reply
Still no joy with any sound.
Don't know if you can see on the photo but I've got the ATI HDMI Output as my default device in the playback tab of the sound options
I'm guessing this is the right option? since its the ATI card that the HDMI cable is hooked up to.
I've tried updating the drivers, using different hdmi slots a different cable but none of them have worked think I might just give up and buy some cheap speakers for my pc.

I use a headphone socket to headphone socket wire from the pc's microphone port to the tv's microphone port.
Or you can use a headphone to red/white cable if your tv's has that audio function.

Do you know if using the suggested wire/wires will work when using a hdmi cable for the image?

Stick with finding an HDMI solution first. Try reinstalling drivers and seeing if it does anything after that. Also worth trying another HDMI cable just in case, and maybe a different port on the TV. It also looks like there's 2 HDMI outputs listed on your computer, so disable the other one in device manager in case there's a conflict. Actually, disable them all one by one except the one you want to use in case there's a conflict.
Device Manager is under System in Control Panel.

Cheers for your suggestions Woffls Ive tried reinstallings the drivers also tried setting each of the audio outputs while all of the other one are disbled still a no go though.
One thing I have noticed though is when I click test on the ATI hdmi output it says the device is in use by another application?
When I click test on the others there all fine although the speaker output is the only one that actually puts sound out (providing I've got speakers or headphones connected) I'm thinking this might be the cause of it although I'm not to sure which application would be using it?

Sounds like a driver conflict. Disable the Realtek HDMI device and see what happens. It might have installed generic drivers then installed the ATI ones as well without removing the generic ones.
If you do something and the screen goes blank just leave it. Windows will revert back in 30 seconds after making driver changes unless you confirm it still works.
