In your opinion(s), what is the role of a games reviewer?

Do you put the comsumer first, warning us of the games we should ignore and the ones we have to buy?

Or are you semi-official regulators of the gaming industry, helping to keep developers and producers on their toes in this ever expanding and varying market?

Or are you perhaps simply over-opinionated bastards who just have to share your thoughts with the world? Lick

Maybe you are a mixture of the above. Maybe you are none of the above.

What is it that you hope to achieve by writing these reviews?

@Ninjutsu, I was paraphrasing from last week's question. Smile

Admittedly I have changed 'reviewer' to 'journalist'.

As suggested by altaranga, we're now going to have a permanent thread here in which people can pose questions to the team. We'll then attempt to answer a few of them during the subsequent podcast.

Since this is a bit of an experiment, I can't really say much more about how this feature is going to work; I guess it'll depend on how many questions we get, and what they are...

In the meantime, ask away!

PS: We tend to record the podcast on thursday afternoons, so treat thursday morning as a weekly deadline of sorts.

Out of all of the reviews you guys have written, which one would you pick a a personal favourite? Or video for Seb if he can't think of one?

A bit inspired by Left4Dead 2.

Do you think Valve will make more "B-movie inspired" games with a similar format to the Left4Dead games. They could mix it up a little and be a good laugh.

Here are some B-Movie classics they could steal.

Blackula

Invasion of the blood farmers

Hobo with a Shotgun

Dead Noon

If games were food...what food would your best and worst games be? Or games on the whole?
